Purchase Contract

The Buyer hereby agrees to purchase the puppy "fe/male "

From the litter of “dam” and “sire”, born xx/xx/xxxx              

For the price of $

A deposit of $150.00 will be made towards a beagle pup. The deposit will only be returned if there are no pups or not enough born. No other exceptions.  ______

 

   The seller agrees to furnish the buyer with the necessary health information, including all shots, and worming records.  Said puppy has been raised and socialized so as to maximize the potential of temperament, to the best of the breeder's ability. The buyer(s) understand and agrees that further instruction, classes, and efforts must be made to ensure the continued development of proper behavior. Should the buyer(s) wish at anytime to cease ownership of the said puppy/dog, the dog will be returned to the breeder, at the buyer(s) expense, to be placed as seen fit. At all times the health and welfare of the dog will be the primary importance. The buyer(s) understand and agree that they may not dispose of the said puppy/dog either by sale, deed of gift, or lease without the agreement of the seller. During the year the dog is guaranteed or all guarantees shall be void. Guarantee is for original purchase only.

 

DEPOSITS/PAYMENT

 

1. Original deposit to hold a pick for a puppy is $150.00. Deposits must be made in cash or postal money order (These can only be purchased at the U.S. Post Office). Choice of puppy is determined on first come (deposit received), first choose basis.

2. All puppies will be sold with limited breeding rights, unless otherwise requested. If you wish to purchase breeding rights there will be an additional charge of $150.00 added to the purchase. A record also will be kept for anyone who might change their mind and wishes to purchase the breeding rights at a later date. No guarantee is made that the said dog is of breeding or show quality, due to the significant changes (physical & health) a pup goes through until adulthood.

3. Final payment must be made before or at pick up. All payments are to be made in cash, or Postal Money Order. No Exceptions!!!

4. Deposits are NON-Refundable. If something happens to your pup, if one is not available from this litter, your deposit will be transferred to the next/another litter. If you change your mind and do not/cannot get the puppy, you forfeit your deposit.

5. Buyer will pick the puppy up when it is 8 weeks old, otherwise there will be a $50.00 a week boarding charge, plus any other expenses, unless agreed upon and noted by the seller in writing. If two (2) weeks or more go by with no attempt to make pick up arrangements, then the buyer forfeits puppy and any deposit or payments made on the puppy, unless noted by seller in writing.

 

 

INITIALS OF THE BUYER(S)__________            

The animal is guaranteed as follows:

1. To be in good physical condition while in the sellers care. The buyer has 72 hours to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian. If the veterinarian finds the puppy to have a serious physical condition other than a bacterial infection, such as Coccidia or Giardia, which is easily treated, the seller will replace the puppy with another puppy of comparable quality, when available from the same or upcoming litter, after the first puppy is returned to the seller. No money will be refunded. The seller reserves the right to a second veterinarian opinion at the expense of the seller. If the puppy is not examined with in 72 hours after delivery time, all guarantees are no longer in effect. The buyer is required to supply a copy to the seller of the initial vet health examination within 24 hours of the visit for the guarantees to be valid.

2. To be free of any genetic/hereditary defect that causes death or serious impairment of the vital functions in the puppy until the puppy is (1) year of age. If such an inheritable defect is documented by a veterinarian and presented to the seller with sufficient supporting evidence, such as an autopsy if the puppy is deceased, all at the buyer(s) expense, the buyer will be entitled to a replacement puppy of comparable quality, when available from same or up coming litter, after the first puppy is returned to the seller. Seller reserves the right to a second opinion by the seller vet. All shipping will be at buyer's expense. Your guarantee will be valid as long as the puppy/dog gets all it's vaccinations on time and has all vet visit documentation.

3. Puppy will have received at least 1 vaccine, depending on age, and be wormed at least once. No replacement will be given in case of Parvo. Let it be clear that this guarantee does not cover: parasites, parvo, corona, distemper, kennel cough, coccidia, hypoglycemia, (our puppies have already been vaccinated against these illnesses & contagious nature and rapid progression, we can't be held liable as the puppy may have been exposed after it left our care).

4. Seller assumes no liability in the event of any accident involved with your dog including but not limited to dog bites or personal/property damage. Seller suggests proper socialization and training be given to benefit dog and owner.

5. The breeder/seller is in no way responsible for any vet bills acquired by the new owner. We do not pay money for any bills; there are no exceptions to this. With puppies comes vet visits and we are not responsible for them.

 

THE BUYER AGREES

1. In the event that the dog is later sold, or otherwise transferred from the possession of the buyer for whatever reason, the seller will have absolute right of first refusal to take in the dog, with no refund. This is due to the fact of the unknown health and upkeep of the animal. The breeder/seller also has the right to prescreen any potential owners to make sure the dog has a good home. The dog’s well-being is our first priority.  This is for the one-year guarantee time line; guarantees do not transfer to secondary owners. If the dog is sold all guarantees are void.

2. Maintain up to date vaccines, worming, heartworm preventative, etc. To keep the dog/pup in humane conditions providing proper food, water, and shelter.

3. No attack training.

 

Failure to comply with the contract requirements and responsibilities or in any way to neglect the emotional or physical well being of the said puppy/dog will result in the repossession of the said animal either by agreement or by right of possession by seller without civil recourse by the buyer(s).  X__________

The buyer(s) and the seller agree that this is the full and complete agreement that exists between the parties for the sale of this puppy/dog. Any agreement made prior to this is considered incorporated herein and any modifications made to this agreement shall be made in writing or such shall not be effective.
