Our beagles can make great family pets. All it takes is some patience and a lot of love. All children should have a chance to grow up with a dog and beagles, with their great temperament, might just be the best breed of dog.

 When you decide on a pup to take home be considerate to your newest family member. Your puppy will be in a new environment and may be a little scared. Everyone in your family is probably going to want to hold and play with the pup, but it important not to overwhelm your new family member. There will be new smells, new faces, and they will no longer be with their litter mates. Try to give your new puppy some space so it can get used to you and explore its new surroundings.  You should not ignore your pup either, human contact is very important because this is the time when the pup and your family make that important bond with one another. Try to find a happy medium between you and your pup. Remember to be patient and give your pup a lot of love and in the end you will have an awesome pet.
